Services
Twin Cities Music Therapy Services provides music therapy sessions at The Center for Performing Arts in South Minneapolis and in clients homes throughout the Twin Cities metro area.
Individual Music Therapy (In-Person)
Individual music therapy sessions focus on client-centered growth through creative music experiences. These sessions begin with an initial assessment of the client's strengths and needs, from which clinical goals will be formed.
Community Outreach Programs
Outreach Programs are contracted through community organizations such as schools, day programs, therapy centers, senior living communities, and mental health organizations. Group music therapy sessions are carefully formed based on age, developmental level, and common clinical focus. Groups provide the opportunity for clients to integrate skills developed in individual music therapy in a setting that facilitates interaction with their peers. Group sizes range from 2-6 people. An initial assessment will be conducted with each individual prior to being placed in a group.
Telehealth Services
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, our team of music therapists learned many ways to innovate music therapy methods to support developmental goals and promote well-being through secure virtual platforms. Clients may explore music through music-facilitated relaxation experiences, music listening, composition, songwriting, lyric analysis, or building music skills on an instrument.
Telehealth Music therapy Sessions are especially beneficial for individuals with health concerns, during inclement weather, and for individuals who live in remote areas where music therapy services are not available.

Therapeutic Music Lessons
Therapeutic music lessons access each individual’s existing musicianship and personal strengths in order to further develop musical skills. Methods of music instruction are adapted to meet the specific needs of each musician to promote a motivating and successful environment for learning music. Therapeutic Music Lessons are currently available for the following instruments: guitar, piano and cello.
